ABOUT

I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy in the University of Cambridge, and a Fellow of Corpus Christi College, where I am Director of Studies in Philosophy.

I am the Philosophy MPhil Course Director, and I co-convene the Cambridge Contemporary Political Thought Seminar.

My research interests are primarily in social and political philosophy (including the history of social and political philosophy) and in ethics. I specialise in issues related to migration, borders, and citizenship, as well as methodology in political philosophy.

I am also interested in work connecting philosophy with the arts. I have been involved in a range of research-led collaborations with artists and arts institutions, across a variety of media, including visual arts, theatre, and dance.

I am participating in an international project on migration and integration, 'Good Integration' (2021-2025), funded by the Research Council of Norway.

I am on the Executive Committee of the Aristotelian Society, and I am an Associate Editor of the journal Philosophy. I am also on the editorial board of Metaphilosophy I served as an output assessor on the Philosophy sub-panel for REF2021.

I was an undergraduate student at the University of Cambridge (Jesus College). I received my MPhil and DPhil from the University of Oxford (St Edmund Hall). I was a Research Fellow at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge from 2009 to 2012, and then taught in the Department of Philosophy at King’s College London from 2012 to 2021. I was also a Fellow at the Forum for Philosophy from 2017 to 2021.
